“Grisly and gripping” are on the inside cover of Ohlsson’s mystery. It has several dead bodies, a number of interesting investigators and many suspects. A young woman disappears and her body is discovered soon after. She was working on a dissertation about an elderly author accused of murdering her husband. The police discover other bodies in the area and their personal lives become entangled with the investigation leading to an internal inquiry.
We learn the back story of the Stockholm investigators along with the current story of the murdered victims and the suspects. Sounds very confusing but the author does a good job at keeping the mix unscrambled.
Had not read her before but understand this is a series. Will look for other work.
