I found Clover instantly likable, so it made me sad that she had no real friends. She was an interesting character, constantly overanalyzing her every interaction and not knowing what to say to people in normal social settings—but when it came to discussing and being in the presence of death she was perfectly poised. The specificity of her nervousness during her first kiss (at 30-something!) was really well done. I was rooting for her happy ending and wasn’t disappointed. 4/5 stars.
