Peter Swanson’s latest murder mystery sees the return of Lily Kintner who steps in to help an old college friend. Martha Ratliff is a newlywed, older bride who suspects her husband might be a serial killer. He travels a lot for work and murders seem to happen in the cities he visits. Lily helped Martha breakup with a sketchy boyfriend in college and returns to help Martha. The best parts of this book were when Swanson describes Martha as an ordinary woman who realizes she doesn’t know her new groom that well. The bodies start piling up. Swanson introduces some twists and turns that keep the plot moving. Entertaining.
