I could never get this title into my head. Then I saw the DVD and it made sense. This is a quirky movie and everyone in it has quirks. The acting is the best I’ve seen for ages. Basically, Pat (Bradley Cooper) is taken home from a psychiatric stay where he has been for 8 months. Something pretty nasty put him there but we don’t know exactly what it was (his wife has a restraining order). The family he comes home to is rooting for him all the way, but they have some issues as well.
He meets a young widow who will pass a message to his ex. if he will partner her in a dance contest. His dad needs him for his Eagles football mojo on the same date. A bet on the score they have to make at the contest gets tied up with a bet on the football game. This is a funny, happy, sad, crazy movie. Again, the acting was really extraordinary.
