I am now officially hooked on this HBO series. Created by Aaron Sorkin of “West Wing,” this is an intelligent, well-acted, topical television program. I have only seen the first three episodes of Season 1, and I can’t wait to see the remaining ones. Season 2 is already being aired on HBO.
Set in a fictional television newsroom, the show revolves around the problems of presenting the news fairly and trying to resist the power of the corporate bosses. Jeff Daniels plays the news anchor and Emily Mortimer his executive producer. Sam Waterston is Daniels’ boss. Everyone else in the newsroom is portrayed by young, very young actors.
Since television series seem to be popular with our patrons, this might be one to consider purchasing.
