On the ligher side of library news, a raccoon has holed up in the atrium of a Queen’s library in South Jamaica. It took shelter during Hurricane Sandy and doesn’t seem to want to leave. A wildlife expert was called in to trap the animal, but so far it hasn’t happened. The younger patrons of the library are thrilled, however, and take turns reading to it through a window between the library and the  atrium. Take a look at some photos!
