Kat, Sara’s sister, had left town after being acquitted for her murder. It’s ten years later and she’s back, realizing she needs to find the murderer, who has followed her with reminders of cryptic notes that the murderer has not been caught. Her welcome is chilly but she has one ally in the local detective, Luke Tanner, son of the police chief who was certain Kat was the murderer. (This is another ‘romantic’ murder mystery.) They team up, Luke reopens the case, the suspects are all plausible and I didn’t pick the right one until after I had picked the wrong one. Not a bad mystery. (I don’t know why the murderer kept in touch with Kat. He/she/it should have left well enough alone!)
