Ghosts by Dolly Alderton is her earlier novel about a single woman in her 30’s in London. As her friends begin to pair off, she is moving on after a long-term relationship. She feels successful with her first apartment and a career. Then she meets Max online and things progress well. She likes him. He likes her. And then he disappears. Alderton’s humor and authenticity come through as Nina refuses to feel sorry for herself. Recommended.
