School Library Journal recently published a list of the best audiobooks for 2013. In the middle school category, there are several titles that we might consider purchasing. Of the fiction titles that we have in hard cover, perhaps we could purchase audio books for “Doll Bones,” “The One and Only Ivan,” and “Son.” “The One and Only Ivan” is very popular in hard cover. There other two have circulated in a limited way. In the category of non-fiction, two of the titles that made the list are not on our shelves. “Bomb: The Race to Build and Steal the World’s Most Dangerous Weapon” and “Sir Charlie: Chaplin, the Funniest Man in the World” might be appealing to older boys.
