Grace Winters is a retired math teacher who unexpectedly inherits a small house in Ibiza. Much to her surprise, it was left to her by a young teacher she once befriended. After visiting the island, she decides to move there, and meets a local eccentric diver who encourages her to learn the skill. The novel requires a suspension of disbelief, in order to accept the magical realism suggested by “La Presencia“, a being of light encountered by Grace and others within the waters of the island. Grace joins the fight to keep the island safe from being destroyed by a malicious greedy land developer. Will they be able to defeat him before it’s too late? I enjoyed reading this novel and would definitely recommend it.
