The latest offering from Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke, All Dressed in White is about, you guessed it, a bride-to-be, Amanda, who disappears on the night before her wedding. Fast forward several years to her desperate mother, who approaches the TV producer of the reality show Under Suspicion, and begs her to take on Amanda’s “cold” case. The producer finally agrees, and recreates the night of the disappearance in order to film the show, complete with the original wedding party. The cast of characters suspected of being a possible murderer ranges from the intended groom, now married to Amanda’s best friend, to the other family members and friends. When Amanda’s body is finally found, the pacing of the novel quickens, making it difficult for the reader to put the book down until one discovers “whodunit”.
