The We-Bop children’s music classes at Rose Hall, Columbus Circle- Lincoln center begin at age 8 months through 7 years old. With live piano and creativity encouraged, I remember going with my daughter when she was 3-5 years old. We-bop is an early childhood, jazz education class for little ones. Originating from the Marsalis family of musicians, award-winning faculty bring the joy and learning of music to each class. After the class, we would venture across the street to Central Park and ride the merry-go-round. A fun weekly outing for families with young ones. If you can’t make it, try these jazz picture books: “Charlie Parker Played Be Bop,” “Jazz Baby,” and “Jazz for Lunch.”
