As I pulled Valentine’s Day themed books, I realized that we need to add more titles to our JP collection. The “New York Times” Sunday Book Review, February 8, featured several new titles that I would like to order. Two that stand out are “There’s This Thing” by Connah Brecon and “In My Heart A Book of Feelings” by Jo Witek. 
“There’s This Thing” teaches the lesson that it is hard to ask for what we want. The introverted girl learns how to, ultimately, ask for love. “In My Heart” explores a range of emotions–bravery, calmness, shyness, sadness. “A giant heart-shaped cutout gets smaller on each page….so that its multicolored layers appear to peel off, onionlike.” The reviewer called it an “ingenious, attractive book.”
