The ALA has published it’s list of the Top Ten Most Challenged Titles of 2011.  I understand some protesting the violence of The Hunger Games, but I’m not sure why people are still protesting To Kill a Mockingbird.  The complaints are that it has offensive language and is racist, but wasn’t that the point of the book?  To point out that racial inequality should not be endured?

Check it out the list here.
