I was sorry to read Thomas Berger’s obituary today. That he “remained fiercely protective of his privacy” is totally true. I recognized him at the Palisades P.O. years ago and told him I liked his work. He gave me a stern look and sort of a grunt. He looked exactly like this photo – hard not to recognize!
