Stella and Adam Knox are having the time of their lives, traveling across Europe for three weeks, collecting antiques for Adam’s business. Just when Stella thought life was perfect, the bottom drops out of her world. Adam goes missing, presumed dead from an explosion in a Paris cafe. Stella is then confronted by police, who are in fact investigating Adam, believing him to be dealing in stolen and looted antiques. Stella refuses to accept that he is guilty, and when she finds out Adam is still alive, is determined to find him. But an assassin is after Adam, so the danger ramps up for everyone involved. Belle inserts flashbacks seamlessly to lay background, and packs the novel chock full of suspense. Highly recommended.
