Watched this over the weekend and liked it. Story told by an 11 year old girl who is in despair over her vacuous family. A big turnaround happens as she befriends a courtly Japanese neighbor and her building’s concierge. Didn’t read the book, but I’m tempted.
I don’t know why, but I always think French actors are more interesting to watch than American.
