Titan Books has announced that it will publish “Mycroft Holmes” this fall. This first novel by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was co-written with screenwriter Anna Waterhouse. Mycroft is Sherlock’s older brother, who is equally intelligent. The story centers on Mycroft as a recently graduated university student, who then begins work for the British secretary for war.
The author said that he began reading Sherlock Holmes more that forty years ago. “I was fascinated by Holmes’s ability to see clues where other people saw nothing.” The former basketball great has also written an autobiography, nonfiction and children’s books.
