The Penny Hawthorne mystery series by Fiona Grace stars tea aficionado and tea room owner, Penny Hawthorne. Her cafe in New England is her showplace for the special brews she concocts. In each of the first 3 titles, she is requested to visit a foreign country to prepare a special tea for an exclusive guest. Once there (Book #1- Swiss Alps, Book #2- Venice, Italy; Book #3- Paris, France) Penny is the first person to come across a dead (murdered) body. With the help of a dashing British Interpol detective, she pursues the truth and catches the killer. These titles aren’t very deep and they are quite predictable. However, I liked the non-violent, expected clues and scenery. I expect to read the others in the series. Available on Hoopla as an audiobook.
