Phoebe Miller seems to have it all. She is wealthy. She lives in a beautiful house in the right neighborhood. She has an enviable wardrobe and uses high-end products. The flip side is that her father (recently deceased) was notorious for preying on women and she is left to live in the shadow of that scandal. Her marriage is on the point of disintegrating when a new family moves in across the street. Although not very social, Phoebe makes friends with Vicki and is attracted to her 18 year-old son as well. But it seems her father’s misdeeds are coming back to haunt her as the mysterious stranger sitting in the car outside her house every day is no anonymous stalker and the new neighbors have not accidentally chosen this location to move to. Twists and turns, old grievances and truths build to a climactic ending.
