by Nicholas A. Basbanes, A Self-Confessed Bibliophiler
I’m enjoying this enormously. Having taken a paper making class, and operated a hand press, this book is the cat’s meow for me. He begins in China, travels on to Japan (where he says some blank paper is so exquisite it should be framed) and ends in the United States. Alas, many famous makers worldwide are out of business. But the craft will never disappear. Just like the book!
