I have been a subscriber to Netflix for many years. Basically, my husband and I use it for foreign movies and British TV shows. We have, therefore, “discovered” some really good films and shows that are not readily available or well known. I use the instant queue feature mostly for TV shows, both British and American.
When Netflix announced last week that they had created a new series that would make available all the episodes instantly, I was interested. “House of Cards” starring Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright is a political junkie’s dream. Based on the British series of the same title, it features a vindictive, political wheeler-dealer who knows how to work all the angles.
The success of this new venture by Netflix might change how new shows will be presented to the public. Who knows what this will lead to? Hopefully, it will improve the quality of the shows offered on the box.
