If you liked “The Royal Tenenbaums,” and or “Mt. Rushmore,”  you will definitely like Wes Anderson’s newest “Moonrise Kingdom.”  If you didn’t like either or those two movies,  try this one anyway.

Set on an island off the coast of Rhode Island, in the 1960s, this is the story of two twelve-year olds who fall in love and run away together.  This basic plot does not do justice to this quirky, crazy movie.  Bruce Willis, Frances McDormand, Ed Norton, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, and Bob Balaban portray the adults.  A host of young talented actors are the children who at first torment the two young lovers, but then aid in their flight.

W.C. Fields, I think, said never work with children or dogs.  It is the children who steal this movie from the cast of very talented, nutty actors whose seriousness of purpose make this a zany movie.
