There is no regular schedule for magazine disposal. I think the following has been working well:
When the cubbyhole gets too full, pull oldest magazines and put on reference desk with a note they should be discarded. Most go to recycling but home furnishing, gardening, crafts and cooking get put out for patrons to take.
