Robert Galbraith, aka J.K.Rowling, has announced that his two-book series featuring Cormoran Strike will become the basis of a BBC One drama production. Galbraith/Rowling has said that she is half-way finished with a third novel and is planning to write at least five more using Strike as the main character. Filming is expected to begin next year and will be made by Rowling’s production company.
If PBS picks up this series, Cormoran would join a great array of British detectives that went from book to television programs. P.D. James is one of several British authors whose detectives found additional fans when their books were made into PBS Mysteries.
