I’ve been a fan of Turow since Presumed Innocent. Identical isn’t as good. Paul Gianis is an Illinois (Kindle Co. of course) state senator and is running for Mayor. Twenty five years ago, his twin, Cass, pleaded guilty to the murder of his girlfriend, Dita. Now, Dita’s brother, Hal, alleges that Paul was also involved in the murder, putting quite a damper on his election chances. Then things get very convoluted. Paternity questions arise (twice!) and confessions abound.
I do have to give Turow good marks, though, as I’m about 2/3 finished and don’t know who the murderer is yet.
