Over the course of the last few months, several people have asked me if I have seen the series “Homeland.” When I said I hadn’t most people reacted with expressions ranging from “Really” to “Your missing out on something great.” So, of course, I finally caved in.
I have seen a total of nine episodes; I think I have three to go in the first season of this series. At first, I thought that this was something different. The acting, especially Mandy Patinkin, was very good. The plots very suspenseful. By about episode five, I realized that I was getting scared. Now there is nothing I like more than a good, vivid murder mystery, but “Homeland” was scary in a very different way. What is being depicted is probably happening in the real world. The questions of who to believe in the government, and who is acting in the best interest of our country and human beings in general should plague the viewer. Those problems scare me.
Needless to say, I will finish out season one. Will I watch season two, I am not sure.
