I listened to the audio ebook edition. A very light, chick-lit style read. The story describes the lives of several young women and their lives after college until their early 30’s. The women live in New York and wander through jobs and boyfriends. As they rise from young girls to young women, they are caught by surprise as some of their friends mature more quickly than others and some are still floundering and unmoored. They are sentimental about the college years behind them and hilarious about the good and bad dates and choices they make in relationships. One woman’s engagement is broken off when her fiance meets her parents and sees their strange lifestyle. One woman is famous for dating “ugly men” only and then marries one. The friends complain about the time and money spent attending friends’ weddings. Some long for their own and some dread it. A light, sometimes thoughtful read (listen).
