With local government tightening their budgets, libraries are looking for ways to add to their coffers. The Rhode Island Library Association has come up with a unique fund-raising idea. They are offering a calendar featuring the “Tattooed Librarians of the Ocean State.” The calendars feature 12 librarians and library workers and their unexpected tattoos.
According to their website, the Rhode Island Library Association feels that the calendar is their attempt to “fight… censorship and foster… cutting-edge learning environments.”
Just putting the idea out there.
