I tried to read this for about a week and it was just too upsetting. It’s the story of a New Orleans hospital and hurricane Katrina. Conditions were horrific, unbelievable. Some of the sickest patients were euthanized, and in the aftermath doctors and nurses were charged with murder. I think the strength of the book is acknowledging that we must do better in the future to address catastrophes like Katrina. And Sandy.
