My husband thought that “Enough Said” was a chick flick. It did center around a relationship between two divorced, fortyish people, but, I think, it went way beyond the typical chick flick film. James Gandolfini was excellent and so unlike the character he played on the “Sopranos.” He works as a librarian–how different can you get. Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ portrayal of the somewhat unconventional masseuse was somewhat like her Elaine character, but with more depth.
I think this movie would definitely appeal to a mature audience–no wild drinking, or explicit sex scenes. Just two adults looking for someone to make their lives more fulfilling.
