I always read the interview in the Sunday Book Review and am usually surprised by the answers. This week Donoghue has a favorite writer of whom I’ve never heard (which is often the case!), Neal Stephenson. Not too surprising, as he writes Science Fiction/Fantasy and is a game designer. But she likes mysteries and would choose a Lee Child as a last read if she were to be executed at dawn. I wasn’t overly fond of The Room but am looking forward to her new book, Frog Music, because I liked the interview.
