There was a beautiful photo of the Scribner Book Store and an article by Larry McMurtry about all the New York stores he used to visit that are no longer in business. Magazines, newspapers, letters. What next? It will be interesting to see.
Dennis is so thrilled at the idea of ordering something from Amazon and receiving it 2 days later or going to one Walmart and being able to bring up his glasses purchase date from another. The changes are amazing and happening here at the library also. The internet has been a boon to homework help and most reference questions can be answered on line. I’m thinking soon our DVD circulation will decrease. Movies will be faster to get without leaving home. But not cheaper – we’re still a bargain.
P.S. Still Mine is the slowest movie I have ever tried to watch.
