I officially have no life because it took me a week and a half to read this book! We all know that J.D. Robb books are quick fluff to keep the mind occupied and that’s what this one does. The premise of the book is that an unknown person is releasing a biochemical weapon in restaurants that causes people to start fighting and eventually murder each other. Eve Dallas, Peabody (her partner), and Roarke (Eve’s husband) are working with the rest of the homicide department to try to figure out who the suspect is and quickly before he hits again.
The book was okay- like I said, it’s a fluff read, but you gotta got the dynamic between Eve and Peabody and Eve and Roarke. I like how Robb continually brings up Eve’s traumatic past because it rings true to life- you may have dealt with a personal trauma, but that doesn’t mean that it never impacts you again.
