Some of the “new” subjects they are studying in my school are now:
5th grade- Rainforest, Natural Disasters, Esperanza Rising,
6th grade- Lightning Thief, greek Mythology, Bud, Not Buddy and the Great Depression,
7th grade- Long Walk to Water, Lyddie by Katherine Patterson (child labor)
