We hear a lot about the difficult, sad state of refugees around the world fleeing their native countries seeking peace and freedom. Once arrived in a safe place, it isn’t always easy to find books with characters from various cultures for children.
i’m your neighbor is (IYN), “a project which promotes the use of children’s literature featuring “new arrival” cultures and groups to engage the entire community in a discussion of commonalities and differences”.
