Now that summer is almost gone, we will be seeing a whole new group of movies that are ready for release. Many of them are based on novels–old and new. Often the release of a movie creates an interest in the book. Publishers often republish a novel in a movie tie-in edition.
Over the course of the next several months, we will be seeing ads for new films based on a classics. “Wuthering Heights,” “Anna Karenina” “Les Miserables,” and “The Hobbit” are all schedules for release soon. “On the Road” and “The Life of Pi” will be in theatres in December.
One film that will probably generate interest in his books is a movie based on “One Shot” the ninth book in the widely read Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. The movie titled “Jack Reacher” will star Tom Cruise and be ready for release in December.
