When “Diary of a Wimpy Kid,” Book 9, “The Long Haul” was published, its author, Jeff Kinney, was unsure if there would be a number ten. Well his fans need not despair. Amulet Books has recently announced that the 10th installment of the very popular series will hit the book shelves on Nov. 3. 
Kinney has said that the newest book in the series will “give me a chance to reset the series.” The new book, which for now is untitled, will follow Greg, the Wimpy Kid, on a week-long trip to a farm. The author has said that the generation gap between the kids and the chaperones adds
a great deal of comedy to the plot.
The South Dakota Historical Society made news last November with the release of the never-before-published autobiography of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The memoir follows her family’s journey through the American midwest.
