In a beachside Australian suburban town, the local school’s mums are gossiping about which child bullied another pre-kindergartener. The lives of the various mums are explored: Jane, the newest resident and single mom; Celeste: the rich, beautiful and somewhat mysterious mother of twin boys; and Maddie, happily married to her second husband with first-husband conflict remaining. These three main characters are drawn together as the book is told in flashback dropping clues along the way of the death of one of the parents. Enjoyable to listen to. Entertaining.
