Written by a British writer, the story begins with a quasi-‘Gone Girl’ suspense plot. Most of the story takes place in London and details the recent marriage of Hannah and Mark Reilly. Having met in new York, these two Brits marry and move back to the UK. Not having known each other very long, Hannah places a lot of trust in Mark who is slowly revealed as not worthy. Their marriage unravels and Hannah discovers her husband has a past he never revealed to her involving Nick, the ‘bad’ younger brother he doesn’t like to talk about. Without revealing too much of the storyline, the book gets more suspenseful and your left wondering who the good guy and the bad guy really is. I enjoyed it.
