A public school perspective:
September highlights banned books week. I introduced the topic to my 7th graders, as I do each year. As more of the younger students seem to be reading YA books (“If I Stay,” “Fault in Our Stars,” “Divergent,” ….) I get apprehensive wondering if a parent will complain about a title. Mostly it seems to hurt my statistics as they just buy the books anyway and read them on their own.
