Like Lillian, I visited with 4th graders this week to talk about summer reading. When giving an informal survey as to what they are reading now, they said, “Harry Potter” (got a LOT of those. Glad to hear they’re still reading that), “Hunger Games” series (in 4th grade, no less!), “Pie” (S. Weeks), “Joey Pigza Swallowed a Key,” (Gantos) “The Report Card,” (Clements)… Many (more than half) answered that they have a Kindle or Nook.
