5 stars (LOVED it!). I first saw this book on tumblr and all I cans say is that tumblr points out the greatest things to me. In a world full of technology we see a very dystopian society with proxies, people who are bought by rich guys to receive punishment of their children when they break rules. Here we have Syd, a proxy to Knox, a very rebellious boy who accidentally murdered someone. That sends Syd to a prison, but before he can be sent away, Syd escapes and kidnaps his patron. Their mission is to get Syd out of the city so he can live, but things get complicated when Syd finds out he is a key factor in the destruction of the system. I seriously recommend this book for it’s dystopian society that is perfectly corrupt and characters that make you question the value of a human being.
