One girl. Four seasons. Nick Bruel of ‘Bad Kitty’ fame, introduces a young girl in winter as the story begins. Excited about the snow she sees falling outside, she starts bundling up. Of course, there are SO many layers to put on that by the time she stiffly waddles out the door, the snow has all melted, the sun is out, and winter is just about over. The same girl marches through the rest of the seasons with animals, nature, and humor that the smarter preschoolers will understand. In the summer episode, the young girl is so hot she is made into an ice cube after melting on the sidewalk. Though fiction, an appropriate book for a nonfiction unit on the seasons that will awaken the imagination.
