Children ages 4-12 may sign up for the Summer Reading Game

Come into the library any time between now and August 16. Once at the library you will fill out a registration form.

At registration, children receive a welcome packet that includes:

- Bookmark
- Pencil
- Summer reading game board
- Bubbles
- Jolly Ranchers
- Chain with two pony beads & brag tag

The summer reading game runs 7 weeks from June 28-August 16. Each child who reads for 2 hours (fills in 6 circles on the games board receives:

- One special bead of their choice
- Six pony beads (regular color beads)
- A sticker that can be placed on the circles of their game board next to the six circles they completed.
- A raffle ticket for a weekly prize drawing. Raffle tickets will be placed beside prizes on the circ desk. Each week there will be 3 prizes. Participants may put their ticket in the jar associated with the prize they would like to win. Winners receive an email notification to pick up their prize.
When reading games are complete, children receive a gift certificate to the Piermont Creamery.

OUR LIBRARY

We serve children from birth through fifth grade and their families. With almost 8,000 items, including books, audiobooks, and movies, there is something for everyone to enjoy! New materials are always being added to ensure that the collection remains attractive and current. We are working hard to develop a culturally responsive collection that educates and inspires the children within our community.

Digital materials are readily available so that you are able to enjoy books, movies, and audiobooks from home. As a patron of the Palisades Library, you have access to many different online resources such as Hoopla! and Kanopy Kids.
