2025 Children’s Winter Reading Program

Who Can Join?

  • Children ages 0–12 are welcome to sign up for the Winter Reading Game.
  • If you’re 12 years old, you may choose to participate in either the Winter Reading Game or the Teen Winter Reading program (but not both).

How to Register

  1. Fill Out a Registration Form

    • Registration forms can be found at the circulation desk.
    • You also will get a prize menu!

  2. Pick Your Prize

    • Choose your prize when you sign up.
    • Prizes will be handed out at the Winter Reading Party on March 1, from 1–3 PM.
    • A QR code on the form takes you to the online registration page for the party.

  3. Sign Up for Programs

    • While you’re registering for Winter Reading, feel free to sign up for any additional library programs happening during the winter.

Tracking Your Reading

  • Bookmark: You’ll receive a special bookmark when you register.
    • Each circle on the bookmark represents 20 minutes of reading.
    • Fill in both sides of the bookmark before asking for a new one.

Dates to Remember

  • The Winter Reading Game runs from January 2 through February 28 (8 weeks total).
  • Winter Reading Party: March 1, 1–3 PM.


 

OUR LIBRARY

We serve children from birth through fifth grade and their families. With almost 8,000 items, including books, audiobooks, and movies, there is something for everyone to enjoy! New materials are always being added to ensure that the collection remains attractive and current. We are working hard to develop a culturally responsive collection that educates and inspires the children within our community.

DIGITAL RESOURCES

Digital materials are readily available so that you are able to enjoy books, movies, and audiobooks from home. As a patron of the Palisades Library, you have access to many different online resources such as Hoopla! and Kanopy Kids.
