Young readers ages 8 and up have enjoyed the “39 Clues” series for several years. A different author writes each book in the series, taking the story where they want it to go. These are action-adventure books with interesting characters and complex plots. There is also an online game that goes with the books.
‘”Mission Titantic” was the first book in the new series, Doublecross. It was published in early 2015. A sinister character called the Outcast is challenging the Cahill family by setting out an impossible test. He has recreated four of history’s worst disasters and dared them to stop the tragedies before it’s too late. Book 2 of Doublecross called “Mission Hindenburg” has just been published and will be on our shelves soon.
