Having never read this title before, I thought I would give it a chance and must admit that I really enjoyed it. I was swept up into the drama of Lizzy and Mr. Darcy and found their opinions of each other at first to be so interesting. The 180 degree change of viewpoint of each character towards the other, during the latter part of the book, does drive home the point that first impressions can be so biased. The old adage to believe half of what people tell you is also proven here by Austen. I think back to the discussions on Austen’s works that Maria & Shana had last year with our patrons and would like to join them if they are ever repeated. I am moving on to Northanger Abbey, which was recommended to me by another librarian. Any one else have a favorite Austen title they would like to recommend?
