Our audio books are a really healthy part of our circulation. The new Library Journal assures us this trend will continue but digital downloads will overtake CDs. The trend won’t change the fact that the narrator is key to enjoyment. Makes sense, as we are substituting ears for eyes. Bottom line – “It’s all about the story.” The narrator or producer credits can’t make a bad read into a good listen.
