Early this week a patron was checking out and saw the “Book of the Moment” display.  She was so happy that she was able to get the newest Harlen Coben novel “Six Years.”  This morning I heard an interview with Coben, who discussed this his 24th novel.  Unlike his books featuring Myron Bolitar, this newest story is more of a love story than a thriller.

The prologue begins as the main character Jake is attending the wedding of the woman he loves.  Six years later he reads an obituary of the man that Natalie married.  At the funeral, he discovers that this is not Natalie and that no one knows anything about his Natalie or where she is.

The premise of the story would definitely create a page turner.  Coben admitted in the interview that he believes he has written a good novel when the reader can’t put it down.  Judging from his success, I think he has achieved his goal.
