When Katie receives the news that her younger sister Mia has committed suicide in Bali, she refuses to believe it. At first Katie’s fiance Ed is a stable presence during this nightmare. But when Katie decides to mirror Mia’s travels in order to find answers, she decides to travel solo, and inevitably begins to change as a result of her experiences. Clarke relates the events of the novel from both sisters’ points of view as you move through the story. It’s a compelling and suspenseful read; I very much enjoy Lucy Clarke’s writing and would highly recommend it.
